There’s still time to register online for the Derby Running Club’s 31st annual Firecracker Run, which will be at High Park on July 4. 

The Firecracker Run will feature a four-mile and one-mile race. The four-mile race begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the one-mile race at 8:30 a.m. All ages can participate, as well as those who wish to walk the course. Participants can also compete in both races. 

Online registration is open through July 2 at www.active.com/running/derby-ks/derby-firecracker-2012. Registration can also be done in-person at the Derby Recreation Center and First Gear at 111 N. Mosley Street in Wichita. 

The entry fee is $20 for children 12 and under, and $25 for adults. There is also a $5 discount for Derby Running Club members. Runners can also register the day of the event at High Park for an extra $5.
