Stinky Feet and Wild Goose Chase – what’s going on at the library?

Kid-Rocker Jim Cosgrove and Wild Goose Chase Theater are prepared to entertain Derby children in upcoming performances.

Cosgrove, better known as Mr. Stinky Feet, will give two performances at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 in the Derby Public Library’s community room. 

Cosgrove is a multiple People’s Choice Award-winning performer. He has released eight CDs and has performed more than 3,000 shows in his 14 years as a family music entertainer, including two performances at the White House. 

This show is recommended for ages 3 and up.

Wild Goose Chase Theater will perform two shows in the Derby Public Library community room on Wednesday, June 27. 

The first show will be a matinee at 2 p.m., The Legend of Walter Weirdbeard…Arrr is for Reading. The evening show at 7 p.m. is titled, A Wild Goose Chase: Puppets, Poems, and Pandemonium.

Wild Goose Chase Theater founder Matt Sandbank began building puppets as a middle school teacher. 

According to his website, www.wildgoosechasetheater.com, the puppet shows “promote literacy and excite young people about the power of words and the imagination.”

This show is recommended for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. 

These Seeing Stars performances are sponsored by the Leonard and Celia Levand Trust, and are free and open to the public.

Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

No registration is required.
