Ray Rey, 74, retired Ritchie Paving foreman and former 35-year Stannard Construction Company foreman, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012. Visitation will be held 1-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, with family present 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, both at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Elvira; sister, Eva; and granddaughter, Angela Rothrock.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Melba; daughter, Linda (John) Rothrock of Derby; son, Dan (Deldee) Rey of Lake Tapps, Wash.; and son, Don (Samantha) Rey of Wichita; grandchildren, Jason (Rochelle ) Rey, Jessica Rothrock, Jenny (Patrick) Flanagan, Melanie (Jon) Rooney, Mariah Rey, Austin Rey; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Jay Rey and Jim Rey; sisters, Leatha Frye and Lois Chapman.
