Communities in Schools of Wichita/Sedgwick County has announced local nonprofit veteran Patricia Jones has been hired as its new executive director.

In her new role, Jones will have overall strategic and operational responsibility along with execution of the mission of Communities in Schools. Communities in Schools also operates offices in Derby Public Schools. It connects at-risk students and their families to critical programs and community resources to help children stay in school.
