This past year, the City of Mulvane was awarded a $250,000 Safe Routes to School Grant by the Kansas Department of Transportation, to construct sidewalks for use by pedestrians and school students.
The design consultant, TranSystems, has prepared preliminary sidewalk alignments. The city is seeking feedback regarding the alignment and locations of the sidewalk before finalizing the design and beginning construction.
A public open house is planned at Mulvane City Hall, 211 N. 2nd Ave., on Monday, Feb. 13, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. to offer residents the opportuntity to provide feedback.
