ANDOVER – Brett White, Andover Middle School principal, will become assistant superintendent in July. Deb Regier will assume White’s vacated position as AMS principal.
“He (White) is a talented individual and certainly ready for the opportunities that come with this position,” said Tom Ostrander, retiring assistant superintendent.
White has been principal of the middle school for 11 years. Prior to that he was assistant principal/athletic director at Mulvane Middle School for two years and a teacher at Benton Grade School for seven.
The assistant superintendent’s role includes overseeing human resources, transportation and food service, as well as some student issues.
Regier has been assistant principal of Andover Central Middle School since 2006 and will take the lead at AMS effective July 1.
“Deb is an exemplary administrator and we are pleased that she will be taking over leadership of Andover Middle School,” said Mark Evans, school superintendent. “I know that she and Brett will work to provide a smooth transition for all students and staff.”
