Horticulture
Center’s garden complete

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on November 22
for the educational sidewalk at the Kansas State University John
C. Pair Horticultural Center, located at 1901 E. 95th Street.
This is the first phase of the Kaegi Educational Display Garden.
The sidewalk is 566 feet long and has imprints of trees and shrubs
along its border in concrete. Pictured from left: Thomas Warner,
professor and department head of Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation
Resources at Kansas State University; Gial Kaegi, who was the
first volunteer at the Center; Karen Pair Liby, the wife of the
late John C. Pair for whom the Center is named; Marge Kaegi, who
is a volunteer at the Center; and Jason Griffin, Director of the
Center. More phases of the project will be completed as time and
funding allows.
