The heat isn’t stopping Derby’s Farmers Market on Saturday mornings in the El Paso Village parking lot.

Mulvane’s Robert and Barbara Happy, Haysville’s Sargeant Farms and a couple of smaller vendors have recently been joined by Derby’s American Garden.

Partners Jan Sattler and Mike Niedens are growing tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, cucumbers and herbs on land adjacent to Derby’s round barn to sell at the market, along with baked goods and custom wood work.

The farmers market is open on Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon, through October.
