Derby High School’s forensics squad had three students medal in competition at Field Kindley High School  in Coffeyville on Friday.

In Field Kindley’s high school student congress and Lincoln-Douglas debate tournament, the DHS squad had the following results:

• Josh Mascharka placed first in Lincoln-Douglas debate with a 3-1 record.
• Erik Rose placed sixth in Lincoln-Douglas debate.
• Tanner Nelson placed sixth in the Novice House of Representatives in student congress.

The DHS squad also competed at the Maize South High School forensics tournament on Saturday, but no students reached finals.
